Chemical peeling
Skin problems? No problem!
Smooth and beautiful skin has always been a source of confidence and attracted attention.
The wide range of chemical peelings by Mene & Moy and Derma Ceutic, we work with, are a powerful weapon in the dermatologic fight with oily skin, acne, advanced pores, wrinkles, pigmentation and stretch marks.
The chemical peeling is a treatment method in which by means of acids of controlled various concentration the upper layer of the skin is peeled, thereby stimulating the renewal of surface and deep structural elements. The chemical peeling, which we apply, ranges from superficial to mid-deep peeling, depending on the concentration of acid applied and your skin type.
Before After
Questions:
What is the course of the procedure?
* Inform your dermatologist if you have allergies to medicines or other chemicals, as well as any infection (bacterial or viral) over the past 14 days.
* Before starting the procedure, the skin is cleaned with cosmetic milk and lotion, and then pre-peeling lotion is applied.
* Then comes acid application and after a while, at the discretion of the dermatologist, the acid is neutralized.
* Then the skin is hydrated and photo-protected.
* During the procedure, you may temporary feel inflammation or itch which disappear within half an hour after the procedure.
Are complications likely to appear during or after the chemical peeling?
* The occurrence of complications is quite unlikely if the procedure is properly conducted.
* Redness after peeling usually lasts 4-6 hours but in cases it may last a little longer and disappears within 5-6 days.
* After medium-deep and deep chemical peeling, over the first 2-3 days brown crust may form on separate areas or the entire face. Do not pick or remove it deliberately! Crust will fall alone after 3-days, usually without complications.
* In case photo-protection creme is not used as prescribed, hypo or hyperpigment spots (areas with a color different from that of the surrounding skin) may appear.
* Reactivation of herpes simplex infection is possible.
* There are very few cases in which after the chemical peeling, there is an allergic reaction to any of the chemicals or formation of scars in areas subject to peeling.
